Crowdfunding project for our Paintings in Perpetuity campaign
We wanted to share with you the news of our crowdfunding project for our Paintings in Perpetuity campaign! We have teamed up with Boosted - an Arts Foundation initiative - to bring our campaign to the public and ask for support.
As you know, some of Aotearoa New Zealand's most iconic, heritage paintings held in the Alexander Turnbull Library are in desperate need of remedial treatment. The purpose of this campaign is to raise funds for one of Charles Blomfield's quintessential paintings of the White Terraces.
This campaign is now live but thanks to some early seed donations we are already well on our way to reaching our goal! A heartfelt thank you to all who have donated so far!
Will you help us? By using this link you will be able to support our project - and please feel free to share with your own network.
Even a small donation will go a long way to help us reach our goal!
We would really appreciate it if you could follow us on social media and share our campaign.

This Blomfield painting (ATL Ref G-675) is in need of extensive consolidation (note the cracks on the right hand side), surface cleaning, filling and retouching.
The painting below (ATL Ref G-655) shows Alexander Turnbull's mother, Alexandrina Turnbull. The image on the left is taken before remedial treatment and the one on the right after. It's amazing to see the transformation! Thanks to the treatment, this painting may now be displayed to the public.
Thanking you in advance for your support.
